We’ve reached the end of another busy School Year at the International School of Bremen! It’s been such a productive time, with lots of success to celebrate and quality learning experiences for all our students!

End of May we said goodbye to our Grade 12 students. We’d like to wish them all the very best of luck and happiness for their future as they move on to their chosen destination, don't forget the ISB Alumni!

This week in June we bid a fond farewell to families leaving our Community to move on to new places and adventures.  We thank them all for their contribution to the ISB Community and wish them well, and please keep in touch.

Fortunately the weather stayed dry last weekend despite the storm clouds. The PTA did the school proud with their excellent organisation of this year's Summer BBQ - well done and a huge thank you! It was a super ISB family event offering something for everyone. The highlight was a volley ball tournament between parents, students and staff (the parent team won!), a bouncy castle, a putting range, the ever popular photo box, generous raffle prizes and of course the yummy BBQ itself. Everyone seemed to have a good time!

On Sunday, 23rd June, four ISB lady staff members took to the water once again to compete in the annual "Firmenrudertag" (Companies’ Rowing Day), organised by the Bremer Ruderverein von 1882 e.V.

All competitors received five training sessions before the event from competent trainers of the club. Our team, consisting of Mrs Dodds, Miss Haller, Miss Gardiner and Ms Vedder were once again lucky enough to be trained by ISB parent and President of the Club, Günther Brandt.

Enjoying perfect weather conditions, our brave ladies held well in their second race but were pipped at the post by the team of HanseWasser. Despite this disappointment, our ladies were of high spirits and are determined to take up the challenge once again next year!”

Elementary school students always look forward to the fun events at Sports Day - a ISB summer term highlight and this year was no exception on 5th June. The sun shone and students took part in on the different activities and worked well together. Enjoying the space bouncer races, relay races, water cup race, used their basket ball skills and lastly everyone's favorite "Tug of War". All ISB Houses, Roland, Schoor, Hanse and Lloyd were well represented.

Big thanks go to the P.E. department staff for organising the event and the vital parental support with handing out water and fruit to students.

Grade 11 IB Physics and Chemistry students went on a "science adventure" in Geneva. One of the highlights of their trip was visiting the CERN Science Center - an amazing opportunity to learn more about the "mysteries of the universe" and see one of the worlds biggest physics laboratories.
