I have been dancing for three years and am currently pursuing my fifth course at the oldest dance school in Bremen. Dancing is not only about learning the steps but also about precision, accuracy and technique. I have lessons twice a week for 2 hours each. Dancing has become one of my many hobbies be- cause it is an activity that has to be perfected with a partner and not alone. Your partner makes up 50 % of your dance and, after all, it takes two to tango. Furthermore, hard work and ded- ication are an absolute must when it comes to dancing. It takes a long time to perfect every step and spin. Dancing has be- come a passion of mine because of its great variety. From teamwork to dedication, it’s all there.

In the summer holidays, I made my first experiences in the section 'Activity'.

My friend and I went sailing for a few weeks. We do it every year - we film everything and put in on YouTube (Maximum-sailing), but each time is a new, exciting adventure! Not only that we are alone on the Baltic Sea, we also have to fight with the weather sometimes.

This year in August, we set off from Copenhagen, sailing around the top of Denmark and passing Langeland to get to Heiligen-hafen in Germany. The last few days were really tough; we had a lot of wind (25kn), but had to get back to Germany to be on time for the first day of school. On the last day, we had 60 miles to go but the wind fortunately came from the right direction. We surfed on 3 meter high waves with our 6,50 meter long boat, being so fast that it got quite scary. But exactly that is what I like about sailing. It pushes you to the limit. You have to concentrate, be physically active and use all your power. It involves a lot of emotions, mostly good ones, which makes me crazy sometimes, but in a good way.

Anyway, since I‘ve been sailing on my own with my friend I have changed so much. I have become more responsible, more confident and am facing my fears every time. I think exactly these things make CAS and sailing so special.
